DoorKing System Down? We're DoorKing-Certified and Ready

Why We're DoorKing Specialists

DoorKing is the dominant brand for HOA and multi-tenant telephone entry systems in California — their 1800-series telephone entry units are installed on hundreds of gated communities across the state. We've serviced more DoorKing systems than any other brand for precisely this reason. The 1802 and 1815 boards have well-documented failure patterns: the EEPROM chip that stores the resident directory is vulnerable to power surge corruption, the keypad membrane delaminates in high UV environments, and the intercom amplifier board burns out when phone line surges hit. We carry replacement boards, keypads, and EEPROM modules stocked for the most common DoorKing models.

Straight Answers to Real Gate Problems

Sometimes. If the EEPROM hasn't been overwritten, a tech can attempt to read it with a programmer. If lost, we rebuild the directory from any backup you have — DoorKing's PC software creates exportable backups.
Fading buttons are a keypad membrane issue (UV degradation of the printed legend). We swap the keypad module — the board itself is usually fine.
The 1815 supports up to 1,900 entries. If you're at capacity, we program expansion via the PC-based software upload. We can also evaluate whether upgrading to a 1837 (5,000 entries) makes sense.
Constant beeping usually indicates the main board is stuck in a fault state — often triggered by a corrupted directory or a failed intercom relay. A board reset or EEPROM replacement clears it in most cases.
