My Ramset gate is leaking grease around the actuator rod — what does that mean?

The actuator rod seal has failed. Left unaddressed, the rod itself will corrode and the actuator becomes difficult or impossible to service without replacement. We replace the seal kit before the rod is damaged.

My Ramset gate bangs hard at the end of its travel — is that adjustable?

Yes. The mechanical end stops and the electronic deceleration zone can both be adjusted. Hard stops accelerate wear on the actuator and gate hinges — we set both mechanical and electronic deceleration to eliminate the impact.

Can you convert a Ramset to solar power?

Yes. Most Ramset operators accept a 12V or 24V DC solar input with battery backup. We size the solar panel and battery for your cycle volume and climate.

The Ramset arm on my gate is bent from a vehicle impact — is replacement necessary?
